2026年5月に原宿SO1で公開されたasicsとの新作コラボカプセルコレクションにて、各アイテムを彩ったグラフィックのソースとなったインターネット黎明期の伝説的書籍マイケル・グリーンによる"ZEN AND ART OF THE NACINTOSH"を、同アカウントより派生した出版レーベルhidden pressが復刻。

1986年、アメリカ人アーティストのMichael Green（マイケル・グリーン）は、初代Apple Macintoshの前に座り、後に伝説となる一冊を生み出しました。それがZEN AND ART OF THE MACINTOSHです。本書は、デジタルアートと哲学的考察を融合させた作品であり、文章、イラスト、レイアウトのすべてを、マイケル・グリーンが一人で初代Macintosh上で制作しました。当時としては前例のない試みであり、出版された1986年にはスティーブ・ジョブズ本人からクパチーノへ招待され、「Publication of the Year（年間最優秀出版物）」を受賞しています。 しかし、その後長らく再版されることはなく、一部のマニアからは聖杯と呼ばれ高額で取引されていた幻の一冊です。

In 1986, American artist Michael Green sat down at the first-generation Apple Macintosh and created a book that would later become legendary: “The Zen and Art of the Macintosh.” This work fuses digital art with philosophical reflection, with Michael Green single-handedly producing the text, illustrations, and layout entirely on the first-generation Macintosh. It was an unprecedented endeavor at the time, and upon its publication in 1986, Green was personally invited to Cupertino by Steve Jobs and awarded the “Publication of the Year” prize. However, it went out of print for a long time afterward, becoming a rare, sought-after book dubbed the “Holy Grail” by some enthusiasts that traded at high prices.
