1950年代初頭、USAFのライトゾーン用フライトジャケットとして登場したL-2Aを背景とした一着。陸軍航空軍から独立したばかりの米空軍を象徴する濃紺系のカラーリングは、短期間の採用ゆえに後年のセージグリーン系とは異なる特別な存在感を放ちます。フライトジャケットは本来、狭いコックピットで動きやすく、装備に干渉しにくい短丈の機能服ですが、戦後は軍放出品を通してストリートや音楽、モーターサイクル文化にも広がりました。丸みのあるシルエットと着古したナイロンの表情を意識し、実用品からカルチャーへ渡った時間まで含めBOWWOWの卓越した加工技術で再構築。ボタンのスレ、サンフェード、リブの毛玉等オリジナルヴィンテージを彷彿させる圧巻の一着を是非。

■INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
This jacket is inspired by the L-2A, which first appeared in the early 1950s as a flight jacket for the USAF’s Light Zone. Its deep navy color scheme symbolizing the U.S. Air Force, which had just become independent from the Army Air Forces exudes a unique presence distinct from the sage green variants of later years, due to its brief period of service. Flight jackets are inherently functional garments with a short cut designed to allow ease of movement in cramped cockpits and to avoid interfering with equipment; however, after the war, they spread to street fashion, music, and motorcycle culture through military surplus sales. Taking into account the rounded silhouette and the character of well-worn nylon, BOWWOW has reconstructed this piece using its exceptional craftsmanship, capturing the entire journey from practical utility to cultural icon.
