太番手のコットンで編み上げたケーブルニット。家庭によって紋様が異なるという文脈からANCELLMとしてのケーブルをデザインしました。オーセンティックなアイテムだからこそシルエットを現代的に置き換えるため、着丈や身幅に肩の落ち方や袖の溜まり方まで綿密に研究を重ねております。編み柄には様々なフィッシャーマンセーターを参考にファッションとして合わせやすいバランスを探りました。長年の愛用から経年変化も楽しんで頂きたく丈夫さと着用シーズンの長さを考えた結果、素材にはウールではなくコットンを使用しております。長い歴史の中でもあまり見かけないものを製作したく昔着ていたハンドメイドの古着を参考にアナログなムードで羽飾りの刺繍を叩きました。甘い編地に高密度な刺繍を叩くのが困難でなかなかに苦労してしまった意欲作です。羽織物の中からアクセントに覗かせてください。是非、お試しください。日本製。

This cable knit sweater is knitted with thick cotton yarn. Inspired by the fact that patterns vary from family to family, we designed the cable pattern as ANCELLM. As this is an authentic item, we have carefully researched the length, width, shoulder fit, and sleeve fit to give it a modern silhouette. The knit pattern draws inspiration from various fisherman sweaters, seeking a balance that pairs well with fashion. Considering durability and the length of the wearing season, we opted for cotton instead of wool, hoping you will enjoy the natural aging that comes with long-term use. Seeking to create something uncommon even in its long history, we referenced handmade vintage garments from the past and applied feather-inspired embroidery in an analog style. This ambitious piece was challenging to create, as combining the delicate knit fabric with high-density embroidery proved difficult. Let the embroidery peek through as an accent from beneath the garment. Please give it a try. Made in Japan.
