■COMMENT

■INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
This jacket is inspired by the L-2A, which first appeared in the early 1950s as a flight jacket for the USAF’s Light Zone. Its deep navy color scheme symbolizing the U.S. Air Force, which had just become independent from the Army Air Forces exudes a unique presence distinct from the sage green variants of later years, due to its brief period of service. Flight jackets are inherently functional garments with a short cut designed to allow ease of movement in cramped cockpits and to avoid interfering with equipment; however, after the war, they spread to street fashion, music, and motorcycle culture through military surplus sales. Taking into account the rounded silhouette and the character of well-worn nylon, BOWWOW has reconstructed this piece using its exceptional craftsmanship, capturing the entire journey from practical utility to cultural icon. Don’t miss this stunning piece, featuring button scuffs, sun-faded hues, and pilling on the ribbing all reminiscent of an authentic vintage original.
